The Rules

There are toilet facilities on site if you need them. There will be a steward outside the toilet ensuring you queue in a socially distanced fashion and to control how many people are inside the building at the same time. There is a separate entrance and exit so there will be a one-way flow of traffic. We ask you to be courteous to other users. The toilets will be regularly cleaned.

What to bring

Your best singing voices and upper body dancing is top of the list. It might be worth bringing a blanket to stay cosy, as you won’t be allowed to have your engine on during the event. Bring a bankcard for contactless payments, plus any protective clothing or accessories you feel necessary for using the toilet facilities.

The Rules

The safety of everyone at the event is of paramount importance, and it is the job of the stewards to ensure you are adhering to the rules at all times.

The latest Government guidelines apply to everyone at the event. So please don’t attend if you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms of Covid-19 or if you are already self-isolating.

Check if you have the symptoms here.

The Government’s latest advice on staying alert and safe are listed here:

  • Please don’t mix households and car share. The reason behind the drive-in is to provide a safe place for your household to enjoy an evening out.

  • We would ask you to stay IN your vehicle for the whole experience if you can (aside from using the toilet facilities). If, however, you do wish to enjoy the event from outside of your car we ask you follow the following rules;

  1. You MUST stay on the offside (drivers side) of the car within the length of your car.

  2. You MUST be courteous to people entering and exiting their car from their passenger side and allow them sufficient room of at least 1 metre to do so.

  3. When you exit your car you must be courteous to people who are in their car zone and allow them distance of at least 1m.

  4. If people are seating on the nearside (passenger side) of your car we ask you keep your window closed on that side to stop any transmission.

  5. You are able to bring chairs or blankets to sit on but no umbrellas or BBQ’s maybe used in the zoned off car areas.

  6. Under NO circumstances are you to move out of this safe car zone unless visiting the facilities. If you don’t follow the rules, then you’ll be asked to leave. Shropshire Drive-in is working in conjunction with Government guidelines for your safety and the safety of others.

  • Please use a vehicle in good working order, and once parked you must turn your engine off and keep your car doors closed.

  • Please remember this is a family event. Children must be accompanied to the toilet building (and to the toilet if necessary).

  • We respectfully ask that you do not bring alcohol into the showground. Do not drink and drive.

  • The site is a NO SMOKING venue due to the fire risk and so we ask that you refrain from smoking on site.

  • If the stewards ask you to move your car during the event then it is imperative that you follow their instructions immediately.

  • You give your express consent to your actual/simulated likeness to be included for no fee within any audio or visual recording to be used in any media for any purpose at any time. This includes CCTV and/or filming by the police or security staff which may be carried out for the security of customers and/or the prevention of crime.

  • Shropshire Drive-in and Shropshire Festivals Ltd accept no responsibility if you or any member of your household become unwell following the attendance to this event. You are purchasing a ticket for your household in the knowledge that you are entering a public space, and you, and all others in your vehicle, must socially distance for your health and the health of others.

We are limiting the number of cars at the event to ensure we can implement plenty of space between vehicles, plus we expect tickets to sell like hot cakes, so make sure you are first in line for a ticket by adding your name to the waiting list.
